About Mekong Market

Relocated to a newer and spacious location, serving meats and produce daily.

Mekong Market is an asian grocery store in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is listed at 3738 W Gate City Blvd D, Greensboro, NC 27407, which places it among the local businesses of Greensboro that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Greensboro with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in North Carolina may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amโ€“9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mekong Market at (336) 852-9796; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 78 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

NOTICE FOR ANYONE BUYING PREMADE FOODS HERE!!! โ—๏ธโ—๏ธโ—๏ธ I come here pretty often but yesterday I saw a disgusting activity. So a big box of bahn mi baguette next to checkout booth being portioned into the smaller bags, and the long haired lady at the cashier put them in a bag with her BARE HANDS!!!. EW Imagine after she handled all the groceries, cards and money, (and who knows any other things she touches) she then grabbed those baguettes with her bare hands and you eat them LOL ๐Ÿคฎ USE GLOVESโ€ผ๏ธitโ€™s not that hard! Now this makes me think are those premade foods wrapped in plastic on a styrofoam plate also clean??? Ugh this makes my stomach sick! Also, wouldnโ€™t hurt if yโ€™all put a little smile or greet your customers when they come in ๐Ÿ™„

This new location of Mekong Market, this is very clean and a lot bigger than the old place, which is have way more products in the store to shop and more selection. This is fit the best for people from south east Asia such as Vietnamese, Thailand, Laos or main country like China, Korea or Japan. They have some prepared food like bread, baked quick meal, or sweet dessert. This is very nice grocery store for vegetables, produce or meat. Need to stop by

Iโ€™ve been shopping at this store for years, and it has always stood out for its wide selection of Southeast Asian groceries. I never had any issues until recently, but the atmosphere has clearly changed. If youโ€™re not Vietnamese, thereโ€™s no greeting or acknowledgment, which I could honestly overlook. What really bothers me is the constant hovering, no matter which aisle Iโ€™m in, a member of the ownerโ€™s family suddenly shows up pretending to reorganize items that are already fine. It doesnโ€™t feel like customer service, it feels like being watched. Iโ€™m here to shop and pay, not to be treated like a potential thief, and thatโ€™s uncomfortable enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

Prices are cheaper than other Asian grocery stores. I have been to many places in many states. They have the best price among all. I'm talking about almost half prices. They just don't have a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. Clean and organized.

This new location is fantastic and much bigger than the original, which also means a larger selection. This is the destination for Vietnamese prepared food like baked goods, chรจ dessert, and other prepared food items you canโ€™t usually find at restaurants. Of course, itโ€™s an excellent grocery store for produce, meat, spices, and other ethnic items. While primarily Vietnamese the store also curate to the larger Southeast Asian areas.
